Ptolemy has a variety of events
throughout the year from causal monthly Happy Hour's and our
yearly Fall Party, to our Black Tie Coronation and Club Room.
Fundraiser:
In 2006 we raised nearly $10,000 for our Carnival
charity, First Works, with the 2nd Annual Ptolemy Poker
Run. This event is always a Carnival favorite.
Fall
Party: As our Coyote Ugly party, rated by Maxim
Magazine as one of the best parties in the southeast US,
or our Halloween Party, this party draws more than 200
partiers; members, prospects and former members welcome.
Locations have included the Tennessee Brewery and
Premier Palace, High Point Pinch and the Cadre Building.
Happy
Hours: Hosted at different locations around Memphis,
our Happy Hours give members a chance to meet new
members and prospects and more importantly to blow off
some steam.
Coronation:
The formal announcement and presentation of our
Queen, King and Duchesses at the University Club. This
elegant event is always a blast. Come see if the Queen
and Duchesses end up on stage again!
Club
Room: Our legendary Carnival Week Theme party. Past
Theme's have included "Caddyshack", Hawaiian Tiki, as
well as Western
and Hollywood Raiford's.
Parades:
A family favorite; Liberty Bowl, St. Patrick's Day,
Kemet Jubilee. Ride through downtown showering parade
spectators with throws of all kind.
Other
Member Events There are several other Member's only
events during the year as well including Christmas Party
and Annual Meeting.
Carnival Memphis
Events (Crown
& Scepter Coronation Ball, Princess Ball, Grand
Carnival Ball, 5k Family Fun Walk): Highlighted by
Carnival Week, Carnival Memphis has a host of events
dedicated to raising money for the three Queen's
Charities.
Other
Krewe's Parties: In addition to the Ptolemy events
there are a host of other Carnival Memphis Krewe's
fundraisers, parties and outings as well.
